Barrier technology

Technology that ensures separation

The Australian Laundry Standards recommend storing clean linen at least two metres from dirty linen
– ideally separated by a physical barrier. With that in mind, barrier technology was developed –
specially-designed washing machines that are built into a wall, with dirty linen going in one side and
clean linen emerging from the other.

As the best way to prevent cross contamination is by avoiding physical
contact, the barrier concept is a smart solution that limits staff movement
and encourages simple laundry flow.

Barrier washing technology also adheres to strict performance standards
that means it ensures each wash performs to the end of its cycle before it’s
unloaded – guaranteeing the best possible defence against the spread of micro-organisms.
